Motorola loves a concept, and its latest is a large action model: AI capable of taking action for you. I got a demo of the model on a Razr Plus, where a simple text prompt cued it to open the Uber app and call a ride. Neat! It’s not shipping anytime soon, but Moto has a few other AI features that might.

It turns out the $2 billion Las Vegas Sphere was never meant to be a one-off. Sphere Entertainment has announced that it’s working with Abu Dhabi’s Department of Culture and Tourism to build another one.
Although an exact location and timeline weren’t revealed, Abu Dhabi’s Sphere will be as large as the Vegas one, which is wrapped in a 580,000-square-foot screen.
The company’s follow-up to its sub-$1,000 robot lawnmower is the Navimow X3.
According to Segway, the new flagship model can now handle the edges of your lawn and tackle any space up to 2.5 acres without guide wires. RTK and vSlam technology power the mower’s mapping skills, and an AI-powered camera should stop it from mowing over your magnolias.
The Go! Explore PSP GPS accessory for directions still works today, and even looks surprisingly modern, as Jon Cartwright shows in this Good Vibes Gaming video. He says it worked well.
But also, I never knew that Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops had a GPS feature! I miss that era of Sony.
Anbernic’s clamshell RG35XXSP may soon be facing some competition. Although a launch date for the Miyoo Flip still hasn’t been announced, the company revealed the folding screen handheld’s various colorways, including a version that matches the Super Nintendo. Unlike Anbernic’s clamshell, the Miyoo Flip will include a pair of joysticks, potentially making it a better option for playing 3D games.
Rolling Square’s new inCharge XS cable features double-headed connectors on either end making it compatible with devices that charge or sync over USB-C, USB-A, or Apple’s Lightning port. It’s only 6.1-inches long but supports charging speeds up to 240W and is available now for $29.90, with a temporary discount to $25 for its launch.
I’m in a love-hate relationship with these smart shades. This’ll be the second time I’ve returned a pair! I gave them another chance because the see-through model looks fantastic... I’d use them almost every day if I could ditch these dealbreakers.
Nintendo’s been dreaming of Alarmo for a decade — CEO Satoru Iwata revealed the idea in an investor briefing back in 2014! It’s possible the project went on pause between then and now, though. Today, Nintendo said that its development took place during the covid-19 pandemic.
Here’s our hands-on with the cute-as-a-button Alarmo.
After announcing it last month, Google seems to have rolled out Google TV’s AI wallpapers, 9to5Google reports.
According to a Google TV support page, the option lives under Settings > System > Ambient Mode > Custom AI Art. Click on “Create new...” and then describe the image you want, use a template, or choose “Inspire me” and Google TV makes one for you.
Wanting to put its internals on display, YouTube’s Phone Repair Guru stripped an iPhone 16 Pro’s back panel down to the glass using a surprisingly complicated process. Gallium was even used to remove a thin layer of aluminum as the two metals react to create a soft alloy. The results look great, but maybe don’t try this mod at home.
Mosseri, who now heads up Instagram, talked a bit about the project in response to a post from our EIC Nilay Patel about the HTC First.

David Pierce called out the lack of timers in his April review of the AI Pin, but now they’re here.
The AI Pin is getting a bunch of other new features, too, thanks to the CosmOS 1.2 update that Humane says is starting to roll out.
